Jump Start Event
For congregations eager to embrace the Great Commission,
but struggling to make it happen:1. Saturday - Interview with groups of members
2. Sunday - Afternoon session that makes decisions
- Presentation on what the congregations says it wants to do
- Evangelism as two questions:
+ What gift has God given to you?
+ How can you use it in ministry?
- Select actions, create Action Teams, set first meeting date
3. Next week - Action Teams meet and activities start
Constitution and Bylaws in One Day (not two years)
Entire congregation makes all decisions needed to:
1. Create a constitution and
2. Bylaws that are
3. Flexible (to change as God's ministry gifts to the church change) and
4. Great Commission mission focusedThe new draft text is provided within five days that is ready for congregation review and adoption.
Ignitor Event Weekend
Entire congregation constructs 3-year mission plan:
1. analyze current situation
2. create a vision
3. assess 12 ministry areas
4. develop plan, objectives, and action teamsImplementation starts MONDAY!
Situation Assessment
A customized listening process discovering:
1. member perceptions of ministry
2. leadership assessment of issues
3. level of agreement on ministry focus
4. level of conflict (if any) in the congregationAssessment concludes with church-wide presentation of findings.
